The Trust for Public Land is located at the intersection of Monroe and Tennessee Streets, next to the closed BP station (northwest corner of the intersection). Parking is available in the lot, accessible from Adams Street at the back of the building. There is an alley from the parking lot that provides access to Monroe Street and the front entrance.

On May 1, the ORT Economic Development and Workforce (ED&W) Task Force met in Tallahassee. Task Force Co-Chairs Bo Taff from Foley Timber and Land Co. and Kim Moore from Workforce plus moderated the session. The agenda included presentations from Chris Hart, President and CEO of Workforce Florida, and Tony Carvajal, Executive Vice President for the Florida Chamber Foundation.
Attendees included representatives from Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Madison, and Taylor Counties, with advance reports shared for those counties who were unable to attend. ORT Chair Randy Hanna opened the meeting by welcoming everyone and describing the Task Force structure that ORT is adopting to focus more closely on topical areas for the 10-county region. He turned the meeting over to Bo and Kim, who explained a basic framework to guide discussion for this meeting and for the subsequent meetings to be held by the ED&W Task Force. Chris Hart delivered a presentation, sharing Workforce Florida's strategy for the state and offering an opportunity for ORT to provide input on the update for that strategy which will begin later this summer. Tony Carvajal offered an overview of the Chamber Foundation's work in assessing the long term possibilities for Florida, and he provided a special emphasis on the ORT region's opportunities for contributing to the overall economy in this part of the country.
